Hi, I’m Gabe Ornstein, I am a sophomore at Ramapo High School in New Jersey. I play both football and lacrosse, also, I have recently received my Outdoor Emergency Certification (OEC) as a First Responder and I will be joining the National Ski Patrol this winter. Sports have been a huge part of my life, and through both playing and training in emergency care, I’ve become really aware of how important safety is—especially when it comes to head injuries.That is why, in the spring of 2026, I decided to create Project Safe Play Inc. The Q-Collar is FDA-cleared technology—but cost and medical-device rules leave too many young athletes without access. We partner with teams, leagues, and sponsors to fund collars at cost for players in need and to spread awareness where it matters: in your community.
Project SafePlay was founded to ensure that athletes from all economic backgrounds have access to the protective gear they need to play safely.
